BE-OK Texas Mental Health Resource Website
BE-OK Launches Mental Health Resource Website for Central Texas New platform simplifies access to peer support groups, clinics, nonprofits, and mental health services across the region
Temple, TX May 15, 2025 – BE-OK, a coalition of mental health organizations and service providers, has announced the launch of its new website, https://be-ok.net, aimed at making mental health resources in Central Texas easier to find, access, and navigate. The platform is now live and available to individuals seeking mental health support, as well as resource providers looking to reach those in need.
Created in response to a clear gap in mental health accessibility, BE-OK compiles a growing directory of local support groups, nonprofit services, clinical providers, and hospital programs into one centralized hub. The initiative comes at a critical time, as Texas ranks last in the nation for access to mental health care, with 248 out of 254 counties reporting a mental health care shortage.
Bridging the Awareness Gap
The idea for BE-OK emerged during a recent mental health summit in Central Texas, where attendees raised concerns about the lack of visibility for available services. “When asked how people find out about their services, most providers said 'word of mouth,'” said Sean Murphy, Co-Founder at BE-OK. “That response revealed a serious barrier to care—if you don’t already know about a service, it’s difficult to find help. Our goal is to change that.”
With a user-friendly interface and categorized listings, BE-OK is designed to support those searching for peer support training, therapy, crisis intervention, and other critical mental health resources. The directory is curated to reflect the diverse range of services operating throughout Central Texas and is regularly updated to remain accurate and accessible.
Supporting Providers, Peer Supporters, and the Public
The BE-OK website continues to grow as a central hub for mental health resources and support in Central Texas. In addition to hosting a regional directory, BE-OK now offers in-person peer support training for organizations looking to launch or strengthen their peer support programs. These sessions include a BE-OK Certification, and beginning this summer, online training options will be available to help peer supporters further refine their skills.
Organizations that offer mental health resources are invited to register and be listed on the platform. By consolidating services and training opportunities in one place, BE-OK aims to expand access to care, build capacity within communities, and reduce the stigma around seeking support.
Whether you're an individual seeking mental health support, a group or peer supporter looking to enhance your skills, or a provider offering services in the region, visit https://be-ok.net to explore the directory, sign up for training, or register your organization.
